Plymouth Argyle fans have overwhelmingly voted for Krisztian Timar to be the Pilgrims' new captain for next season.
The latest poll on Plymouth Vital posed the question: 'Who Should be Argyle's New Captain?' And 73% of fans who took part voted for Timar.
Following the departures of Paul Wotton, Barry Hayles and Lilian Nalis the Argyle squad were short of players able to skipper the side for the new campaign with manager Paul Sturrock revealing that the arm-band is up for grabs.
He said: 'We need some talkers in the team.
'All the strong characters have gone now and we need someone to come to the show.
'I think it will be a contest within the squad and we're still not finished in the transfer market.'
However, nearly three-quarters of Argyle fans who took part in our poll want Timar to lead Argyle into next season. The big Hungarian centre-back, 28, is a terrace favourite and is poised to sign a new contract after lengthy negotiations.
In second place in our poll was new signing Karl Duguid with 14% of the poll while 5% of fans wanted defender Marcel Seip to become the new captain of PAFC.
Why not take part in our new poll where we ask fans to pick the strikeforce for next season?
The poll can be accessed on the Home and News pages.
